I spent a while perfecting home recipe French onion soup & it’s a big family / guest favorite. I should make it more often.
In this preparation, I went with mozzarella, Gruyere & Grana Padano cheeses as well as three different types of home garden grown onions (Spanish, Yellow & Green).

Uhmm that’s too much cheese, normally a toasted bread is floating with the melted cheese on it here you have to dig to get to the soup ..just saying

I ate a bowl of French onion soup last night. It always gives me stomach issues but I don’t care because it’s so freaking good. I’ve been feeling iffy all day because of last nights soup and when I saw your picture, my initial reaction was, “wow that looks good!”

This looks incredible. French onion soup done properly is all about patience, and you can tell a lot of time went into those onions. The cheese pull on top must be unreal.
