With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, you might be planning a date for that “special someone.” But even if that’s not applicable this year, a Galentine’s dinner is always a great option.

So, put on your favorite pink sweater and get ready to treat yourself and your girlfriends to some of the best meals in Boston this Galentine’s Day.

Capri

You’ve likely seen Capri all over your TikTok For You Page, with good reason. Capri is located in Boston’s South End, though their ornate decor and ambient lighting might make you feel like you’ve stepped into Rome instead.

To start, you and your girls must try their honey buns topped with flaky sea salt and fresh ricotta, which are sure to leave you wanting seconds. The crunchy Caesar salad is definitely the right choice to share, as it’s not only a larger portion, but delicious, too.

Considering Capri is an Italian steakhouse, you can’t go wrong with pastas, steaks, or both! The rigatoni alla vodka is a classic, though there are so many different options. With fusilli, spicy lobster pasta, bolognese, and everything in between, you are sure to enjoy an amazing pasta dish with your favorite people.

Trattoria il Panino

For fans of Italian food, Trattoria il Panino is the real deal. Located at 280 Hanover St. in the North End, any meal here will feel like taking a bite right out of Italy. This restaurant is expansive, spanning two floors, with a private dining room for a more intimate setting.

The trademark of this establishment is the way the pasta is served. Instead of a traditional plate, the pasta is served in a pan, ready to enjoy. Carbonara, gnocchi, and creamy vodka sauce pasta are already delicious, but if you add a Trattoria il Panino chicken cutlet, the dish gets even better (if that’s possible).

With Valentine’s Day falling on a Saturday this year, it’s important to note that Trattoria il Panino offers late-night options on Friday and Saturday nights from 11:30 p.m. until closing, allowing your group to maximize your night.

Zuma Restaurant

If you and your girls want to really treat yourself, head on over to Zuma restaurant for sushi on the second floor of the Four Seasons Hotel at One Dalton Street.

For those over 21, Zuma is known for their complex fruity cocktails like Ozaka Spritz, Yuzu Peach Mule, and Nomikai. However, their non-alcoholic drinks are terrific, with beverages like their matcha green tea with passionfruit.

The diversity of sushi Zuma has to offer is vast. For the ultimate Galentine’s meal, indulge in the limited-time Valentine’s omakase special.

For a steep cost of $198 per person, a group of two or more can experience a caviar platter, wagyu, crab salad, oysters, and a large dessert platter. For anyone able to invest, this meal will certainly be one to remember.

Lolita Cocina & Tequila Bar

For some quality traditional Hispanic food, head on over to one of the two Lolita locations in Boston. The inside of this restaurant is unique, boasting a mix of wooden details and stained-glass windows that are truly magical to step into.

Whether you’re deciding between tacos, quesadillas, nachos, or one of their unique guacamole variations, you are sure to enjoy a bite of anything you try.

For those who can handle the heat, the hot queso dip is a must-have, made with green chili and taco spice. Similarly, the mushroom enchilado is crafted with red chili mushrooms and a smoky relish, and it is a true treat.

Lolita’s guacamole is more than just avocado, red onion, and cilantro. You can indulge in guacamole that consists of bacon or lobster, adding something unique to your Galentine’s dinner.

For anyone mourning a heartbreak this Feb. 14, you and your girls can try the limited edition Broken Heart Margarita, complete with elderflower, lime, white grape, and raspberry flavorings.

Aquitaine

If you and your girls want something fun for the daytime and close by, Aquitaine for brunch is the place for you. Located at 11 Boylston St. here in Chestnut Hill, this restaurant is the perfect recipe for a Galentine’s brunch.

Treat yourself to a wide variety of foods, from various egg platters and omelets to burgers and wraps. There is something for anyone and everyone. For those with a sweet tooth, their brioche French toast, crepes, and hot chocolate are top-tier.

While they are only sides on the menu, the macaroni and cheese and the truffle fries are necessities if you’re a savory girl (who isn’t super adventurous with trying new foods).

With tons of seating available in this spacious restaurant, you can schedule a table for all of your girlfriends. You don’t need to drop $40 on an Uber with this nearby location, which is certainly a plus for college students.

So, if nobody is sending you chocolates or flowers this Valentine’s Day, you can do something for yourself and your besties that’s still pretty sweet.
