Paid a little under 600$ on sale, how did I do? What pellets does everyone use never had a smoker before any tips and tricks gladly accepted haha.

I had that exact model when I got my first pellet grill. Then I realized how easy and better grilling on the pellet side is, especially with the sear plate. I wound up giving it to my uncle after about 6 months and bought the 1600 elite. No regrets. Enjoy. As far as pellet brand, bear mountain or Costco brand. I find trager leave more ash. Plus the other 2 can usually be had for a lot cheaper, 14-20$ for 40lbs vs 20$ for 20lbs of trager.
