ALWAYS WANTED TO TRY THE FISH SANDWICH I WOULD HEAR ABOUT ON THE WIRE

AttemptVegetable
I just made some fish sandwiches last night but I used frozen Gorton’s. Even that tastes amazing when you make “tartar slaw”. I make tartar sauce a few hours in advance with mayo, red onion, chopped bread and butter pickles with some of the juice, and capers. About 30 minutes before dropping the fish, shred and salt some cabbage. After the fish comes out of the fryer I added chopped cilantro and lime juice to the tartar sauce, drain cabbage and mix the two together, now you have tartar slaw.
