It’s called slack fill to prevent the crisps getting damaged. They assume customers can read the total grams of product they are purchasing. Better than a bag of crumbs.

My first thought was; that’s to protect the chips, but when it floated to the ground I thought; that’s excessive.. In India they have small chips packages with about 6 chips in it. So wasteful..

Why am I not surprised with Redditors thinking this video is real, and not someone filming a resealed bag with chips removed for rage baiting? The weight is right there, on the bottom right corner – 70 grams won’t float to the floor this way.
The real enshittification is whatever keeps happening to people’s brains from being on social media for too long.
