It goes up to 104f and has a time setting and humidity sensor on the top. It folds completely flat and has a metal grate on the inside to keep my bowl from touching the heating element source directly. Less than 20f today and the heating is lagging a little in the house so I pulled this bad boy out. Def recommend.

I don’t believe you.
Prove it.
Does it control humidity or just heat?
I had no idea this existed, here I was using my heating pad 🤣
This was a game changer for me. We keep our house cool by preference, and it took forever to proof. The box can proof dough in 3 or 4 hours.
Got one myself! We keep our house at 66F, this has been a life saver.
I have this exact same one! It’s been so nice because my house (and especially my kitchen, which is attached to the garage) runs pretty cool. Plus it’s protected from my cats.
Same! I figured it wouldn’t make a difference and was just a scam… It proofed me wrong.
My wife bought me one of these fabric proofing boxes for my birthday, unfortunately I have to say I didn’t find it reliable – I used a separate thermometer to test it and the actual temperatures were way out. I have since taken the plunge on the pricey but much more accurate Brod & Taylor folding one.
Me, tooooo. I love it soooo much
I made one for $40 with an insulated caterer’s zip bag and a temp-controlled heated gardening seed tray mat. Put a book inside to keep the dough/kombucha/lacto-ferment/kimchi etc off the heating element and voila!
I have one, not that brand and I love it!
My bathroom floors are heated…I turn up the heat and let everything proof there 🤣 Sometimes I have a good chat with my starter when using the loo.
Oh my God that’s cool.
I also bought one this week, arrived for our heat wave in SD. I used it briefly, wonderful addition to my cooking gear. Different brand
This would be a great upgrade to the iguana mat heater I’m currently using.
Me too!
Different brand/model but my kitchen is both teeny and cold and this works super well for getting my starter going to bake and all proofing activities. And it tucks away nicely.
I did get a little digital thermometer that I keep inside to validate the temp settings. Mine is off by a few degrees.
I got one of these for Christmas as well and the heating element burnt out as soon as I plugged it in
I have the broad and taylor proofing box. It is incredible and really levels up your baking. Congrats!
I bought the Brod&Taylor box as an impulse (that is, drunk) self-gift. I’m really liking having something of the sort. I have bookmarks for DIY versions, but I was lazy.
My oven has a proof setting, but sometimes it is nice to have stuff right on the counter.
My only wish list improvement would be having the front open.
Where did you get this? I’ve been looking for something along these lines as we have a cold house too
I did a search for collapsible proofing boxes, found 20 different brands, and closed the lid on my computer. Thanks for the recommendation.
