The ones with tamagoyaki and vegetables in them. Mostly from Family Mart.

the teriyaki chicken and egg salad sandwich always hits the right spot.

Famichiki sando, its 3 famichiki patties stacked

  4. Fractals88

Strawberry with custard and whipped cream

Their sandwiches kind of suck. You don’t go to Japan for sandwiches.

  6. Katsu sando, yakisoba pan, chicken teriyaki/half boiled egg sando from Lawson in that order.

Yakisoba pan reminds me of when I lived in Japan as a poor college kid and always makes me happy.

I do enjoy a good strawberry 🍓 sando (Ichigo Sando いちごサンド), but I also wouldn’t turn down any kind of fruit sando as long as it’s not grapefruit. 😋

I’ve never liked those fruit sandwiches. I mean they look pretty but the taste, no thanks.

It’s depends on my mood. If I wanna eat something salty, I would pick a katsu sand, if I wanna eat something sweet I would pick a strawberry cream sand.

I have the egg salad sandwich from 7-11 all the time. 😄

My fav tho is the thinly sliced ham and cucumbers from Family Mart. Tangy and crunchy and just right.

I was not a fruit and cream sandwich fan at all for decades but then one time a couple of years ago I was deprived of food for many hours because of medical testing in a “ningen dock” (comprehensive full body testing as part of local health subsidy). Part of the whole package was a bento after all was finished and in that bento was a fruit sandwich. I was RAVENOUS and nothing ever tasted so good as that sandwich!! I guess hunger really is the best sauce. 😂 Since then I have gotten the fruit sandwich occasionally to try to relive that glorious feeling.

  12. ツナマヨサンド for life. I can’t bear to eat all the other weird stuff. 🤣

omg the fact that this thing is perfectly rectangular gives me pure joy. I wish more bread companies made bread perfectly square.

  15. Famichiki in between those pancakes with margarine and maple syrup

I ate tamago sando pretty much every other day when in Japan. It’s soft, light and a little sweet. The mixed fruit sando is nice as a little treat, the ones I ate didn’t have sweetened cream, so it wasn’t too sickly or overwhelming. Maybe an underrated opinion, but some 7Elevens and Family Marts sell essentially uncrustables but with butter and red bean. I would usually choose that over a sando as it was more convenient to slip in my bag and eat later on.
