(Florence, Oregon) – The Florence Wine, Chowder & Glass Float Trail returns February 13–15, 2026, with its largest lineup to date, featuring 15 wineries and distilleries, 12 chowder competitors, and 35 hand-blown glass floats hidden in shops and galleries throughout town. The central Oregon coast tradition has positioned itself this year to be one of the greatest options for Valentine’s Day.
Romance and all kinds of fun abounds at the three-day event, timed to coincide with Presidents Day Weekend and Valentine’s Day. They again blend coastal cuisine, regional wine, and local artistry.
“It’s the best way to celebrate your three-day Presidents’ Day Weekend and Valentine’s Day, so bring your special someone to Florence February 13 – 15 for a super-tasty getaway,” said Bettina Hannigan, president and CEO of the Florence Area Chamber of Commerce.
Among its most engaging parts: there’s a glass float hunt all over town. Other main features include wine tastings at more than 15 locations and a public chowder competition. Organizers say the 2026 edition expands participation from both wineries and restaurants, offering broader tasting opportunities across the weekend.

Glass float hunters may search participating businesses Friday through Sunday, with each discovered float earning an entry into a drawing for more than 30 locally crafted floats. Wine tastings run Saturday and Sunday, highlighting regional vineyards and distilleries in a walkable format.
The event concludes Sunday afternoon with the Chowder Trail, where attendees sample entries from a dozen Florence-area restaurants and vote for the new trophy winner. The glass float drawing will also be held that afternoon.
Organizers encourage visitors to extend their stay through the Monday holiday to explore nearby attractions such as Sea Lion Caves, Heceta Head Lighthouse, the Oregon Coast Military History Museum, the Siuslaw Pioneer Museum, and the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area.

“This Presidents’ Day Weekend event has become a major winter boost for Florence and our visitors,” Hannigan said. “It brings summer-level energy to the coast during the quieter season and supports local businesses across our community.”
