Pizza Marvin in Providence RI.
Just wanted a clam pizza. Didn’t see they were nominated till after i ordered and knew it was gunna be some monkeys paw situation.
Sure enough. It was good pizza but still had the shells on it. Shucking the wet greasy clams wasn’t fun and they had a bunch of liquid in them making the pizza a very messy eat.

Pizza Marvin has some of the best pies in the area. Go for the burrata pie or the pepperoni with hot honey, no silly frills on those and definitely worth the price. Though I’d say, the Marvin pizzas always taste a little better in the summer when you can sit on their patio with some friends and some drinks

I know some people that love the interactive nature of clamshells on pizza. I don’t get it tho. I want to pick up a slice and go straight into my mouth.
I was always firm that seafood doesn’t belong on pizza. This has fully reinforced that belief, lol.

I love clam pizza but having the shells on top just seems crazy to me.
This is fucking weird.
Not as bad, but when I lived in Germany I went to a few different pizza places that put whole olives on pizza. Not pitted olives mind you, which I found out the hard way crunching right into a whole pit.
