Valentine’s Day is all about romance, indulgence and nostalgia — and Côte Brasserie is leaning into all three with the launch of its limited-edition Valentine’s menu, created in partnership with the iconic Love Heart sweets.
Running from 9–15 February, the special menu brings playful nostalgia to classic French brasserie dining, pairing indulgent sharing dishes with flavours that tap straight into childhood memories. It’s a celebration of love that doesn’t take itself too seriously — and that’s exactly the point.
A Nostalgic Valentine’s Menu Designed for Sharing
The unmistakable pastel sweets — famous for messages like “Be Mine”, “True Love” and “I Love You” — take centre stage across the menu, adding a playful twist to Côte’s signature French cooking. The result is a Valentine’s experience built around sharing plates, elevated comfort food and a dose of retro romance.
At the heart of the menu is the much-loved Côte de Boeuf, served on the bone and dry-aged for 30 days in Côte’s Himalayan salt chamber. Designed to be shared, the dish comes with free-flowing frites and rich truffle hollandaise, making it the ultimate centrepiece for couples looking to indulge.

Love Hearts-Inspired Dessert by a Michelin-Trained Chef
For dessert, Executive Chef Steve Allen — formerly of Claridge’s and Gordon Ramsay Restaurants — has created a Valentine’s-exclusive sharing mousse inspired by the unmistakable charm of Love Hearts.
The dessert layers silky white chocolate with freeze-dried raspberry and passion fruit, finished with Love Heart sweets to scatter, crumble and enjoy. It’s nostalgic, playful and unapologetically romantic — bringing a sense of childhood joy to a grown-up table.
A bespoke Valentine’s cocktail completes the experience, blending Lillet apéritif, orange blossom and freeze-dried raspberries for a softly floral finish that feels tailor-made for date night.
Why Nostalgia Is on the Menu
Nostalgia plays a powerful role in how we eat. Research shows that one third of people in the UK say sweets remind them of childhood, making Love Hearts the perfect partner for a Valentine’s menu rooted in emotion as much as flavour.
Côte Brasserie’s approach pairs those familiar memories with refined technique — a balance that reflects why classic comfort dishes continue to dominate modern dining trends. For more food and drink features, visit Verge Magazine’s Food & Drink section.
