Love seitan but was always intimidated making it at home. But using vital wheat gluten and the pressure cooker method it was honestly so easy, and came out great.

Used 1 cup VWG; half a can of chili beans blended with soy sauce and minced garlic. Nutritional yeast, a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar, thyme, paprika, oregano. Wrapped the log in foil and cooked on high for 45 + 10 in the instant pot.

For former meat eaters, it came out a lot like chipolata sausage imo. Will definitely be doing it again!

    I heard cooking with vital wheat gluten can be messy and hard to clean up. Any tips? 🙂 I’ve been avoiding it for that reason lol
