I'm not complaining…just curious. My wings aren't complete without the checkered paper!

Never thought of that but now that you mentioned it…..

  2. I eat a lot of chicken wings……. a lot! I typed chicken wings into my Google photos and I had to scroll back 3 years to find some wings that were not in checkered paper. It was a lot of pictures. It was the fake newspaper sheet.

Idk who but it was made to manage grease and provide a classic/nostalgic presentation. The paper helps keep the wings warm while being porous enough to avoid making them soggy

A big part of it is so the restaurant doesn’t have to clean plates. And a lot of those places serve wings.

I was in Vegas and the place served wings on a plate. A PLATE. Got all fancy. And these wings were average at best.

That’s because that’s what the city of Buffalo’s flag looks like.

There’s also the fake newspaper ones

Wood panel bowl is more nostalgic to me than the checkered paper

Probably more of a regional thing I never see the checkered paper

How do you make those wings on the left hand side though at home? I wish I could do it tbh.

Oh my goodness! I never realized that until just now! Which is surprising considering how often I order them.
