Dolia Modern Mediterranean restaurant is planned for Delsea Drive in Vineland, located in what will be a beautifully remodeled and expanded restaurant offering incredible Mediterranean Cuisine, delicious Craft Cocktails and a specially Curated Wine List.
This project will involve a significant remodeling of the existing building directly fronting Delsea Drive in the Cumberland Mall area. The building was originally developed as a modern-styled Friendly’s restaurant and for a short while was Royal Diner. The building has been empty for several years.

The property for the upcoming Dolia Modern Mediterranean restaurant is located next to the 810 Billiards & Bowling facility (across Smith Street) and is positioned in front of the Holiday Inn Express.
There are not a lot of details at this time. While 42Freeway has determined who we believe the operators of the planned restaurant are, we still expect to receive additional details from them.
42Freeway became aware of the plans via construction industry contacts/documents, which led us to an active Dolia restaurant website which features beautiful renderings of the property exterior.

Right now the website speaks volumes simply by showcasing two views of the restaurant exterior.
The design team has done a great job utilizing the already interesting aspects of the former Friendly’s building to completely turn it into a Mediterranean showplace.
The original Vineland Friendly’s building is actually an interesting design on its own… definitely not that “colonial-era” Friendly’s building that we’re all familiar with in Deptford or Cross Keys Road.

The Vineland building features interesting angles and curved window areas, including a front entrance tower… and the architects have really done a great job with the design to utilize what is already in place with the building, but then with the proper design additions and expansions it really looks like a Mediterranean showplace.
The front entrance area will remain in the same location but it appears there is a new open air patio to the front left, and the back right of the building features the new addition for the covered patio and bar area.
The website commentary goes on to say they expect to open in 2026, and they offer the ability to sign up for their newsletter where they will be sharing additional information on opening dates.
