I usually add my own pickle and mayo to krystals, both on the burger and chicken sliders. Makes a big difference for me!

but I had Krystal twice in a 3 day span on the road back before the pandemic, and lemme tell you, you need like 6 months between Krystal visits for it to taste good again

I live in NC so I have neither, but I do travel to places with both. I gotta give the nod to Krystal as every time I have been to one, the old ladies & gents behind the counter have been super nice.

Krystal and White Castle fill the exact same void for me (which is “I want White Castle”). I am Krystal’s biggest fan out of my friend group. I wouldn’t recommend outright to most people though

There’s a nostalgia thing for me. Apparently when my mom was in high school she and her friends used to skip school and hang out at Krystal when it was still a drive up like Sonic. So we would occasionally get to have Krystal as a treat. I have to say, it definitely isn’t high quality food, but the combination of grease, steam, onions, pickles, mustard hits just right sometimes.

I feel like white castle was in my jeans. Since the first time I’ve had it knee-high to a grasshopper and now living in Florida, I haven’t had it in so many years and I miss it terribly. I am surrounded by crystals and I just cannot do it. If you love it more power to you!

I’ve only ever been to one Krystal location, so I can’t really speak for the brand at large, but from that one location, I got 1. The worst tasting burger I’ve ever put in my mouth 2. The best spicy chicken wings I have ever had in my entire life.
