In the heart of The Hill, Adriana’s charms diners with Sicilian-American dishes and warm hospitality, rooted in family traditions and a legacy spanning over 30 years
ST. LOUIS — In the heart of the historic Italian neighborhood known as The Hill, Adriana’s on The Hill continues to delight locals and visitors alike with hearty Sicilian-American fare, a warm family-run atmosphere, and a legacy that stretches back more than three decades.
Since opening its doors in December 1992, Adriana’s has focused on what founder Adriana Fazio and her family call the three pillars of their business: family, food, and hospitality. From the moment guests walk in, the small lunch cafe evokes the comfort of a grandmother’s kitchen, with house-made classics, bustling energy, and a welcoming vibe that keeps regulars coming back.
Adriana’s origins are deeply personal. Adriana’s parents immigrated to The Hill from Sicily years before she was born, bringing with them recipes and traditions that would later become the foundation of the restaurant. Adriana and her daughters—Suzanne, Dianna, and Tia—built the business around those family recipes, adding their own touches and a commitment to hospitality that feels timeless. While Adriana has stepped back from daily operations, her daughters and extended team continue the legacy with pride.
Though best known for its sandwiches—like the Teresa or Mary’s Special—Adriana’s offers a range of Italian favorites from soups and fresh salads to pastas and Sicilian specialties that reflect its Old World roots.
Adriana’s operates on a lunch-only schedule, Tuesday through Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and is closed Sunday and Monday.
In an area known for Italian culinary excellence, Adriana’s success story stands out—not just for its delicious food, but for the way it has woven itself into the community through genuine hospitality and a celebration of heritage that feels like home.
