I planted this tomato about 40 days ago, just out of curiosity to see if it'd grow. I have been putting it outside for increased periods of time but I recently paused that because I noticed that the leaves have not opened back up in about 4 days. I'm in Texas.

Your plant is having a nitrogen issue. The yellowing of the leaves? You’re not watering enough and your plant isn’t getting the nutrients it needs. Your soil looks very dry.

You need to keep your soil moist. Goldilocks soil. Not too wet…not too dry. You need just right. Plants that aren’t watered consistently can’t absorb and utilize nutrients efficiently causing distress and making them more susceptible to pests and diseases.

    That’s why it’s not happy.

NPK all lacking with micros missing. Feed the poor thing.

You need nutrients. Get some nitrogen; balanced fertilizer or fish emulsion.

How long to you put it outside for ? Direct sunlight right away ? Or in shade at first?
