When I get a new package of oatmeal I food process all of it into a rough flour. This cuts down on the cooking time plus it’s useful for baking and other dishes.

  1. Bring 1 1/2 cups of water to boil.

  2. Stir in 1/2 cup of the oatmeal.

  3. Cook until oatmeal is soft and thick. NOTE: personally, I don’t add salt or anything else while it’s cooking.

  4. Meanwhile, add half a banana, some fresh or frozen fruit.

  5. Add cooked oatmeal to bowl. Sprinkle with salt and cinnamon.

  6. Arrange fruit on top.

To make things go even faster, cook a week’s worth of Oatmeal and keep covered in fridge. Empty yogurt containers are perfect for it.
