I’m starting the year with cooking my grandma’s recipe, delicious stuffed grape leaves (Dolma / Dolmeh-ye Barg-e Mo). 🌿

In this video, I show you step-by-step how to cook tender grape leaves filled with a flavorful mixture of rice, ground lamb or veal , and spices, then gently simmered for couple of hours to perfection.

This dish is perfect for family gatherings, celebrations, or anytime you want something cozy and homemade.

have you tried Dolma before?
There are so many versions. You can simply make it vegetarian with removing the meat !

🌿Ingredients:

• Grape leaves (fresh or jarred, soaked and rinsed)
• 1 and half cups Rice (washed and soaked for 2 hours)
• 1/2 cup Garlic (finely chopped)
• Olive oil (or vegetable oil)
• 1 pound ground lamb or veal
• 1 cup Raisins
• 1/2 cup completely cooked yellow split peas
• 1/2 cup Tamarind paste or pomegranate molasses + 1/2 cup sugar or to taste
• salt and Black pepper to taste
• 1 tsp Turmeric
• Hot Water (to cook the dolma)
