Used to live in a big city and now I live in a rural area, it’s so hard not having access to the best global food/culture. If I’m craving someone I gotta make it myself. This is vaguely based on Serious Eats’ halal cart recipe online using tofu instead of chicken and vegan mayo/yogurt instead of dairy. Only thing I’m missing here is the styrofoam clamshell and the genuinely delightful halal guys asking me how my family is doing.

omg it looks just like a halal cart dinner I had in NYC many years ago at 3am after partying all night. It was so good. You’ve inspired me to make a vegan version!
