Dinner tonight:

381 calories

32 g protein

Y’all, I love food. But I’m short and sedentary and I gain the moment I go over 1400-1500.

What are your favorite ways to get volume? I started adding lentils and quinoa to my rice and it changed my life.

This is what works for me:
    1. Always pair your low-cal volume foods (veggies/leafy greens) with a lean protein. Helps with satiety level and muscle retention.
    2. I always try and incorporate low cal complex carbs into my meal for satiety level. Potatoes boiled/air fried works best for me.
    3. Don’t volume eat ALL the time. Your brain can only be “tricked” for a limited amount of time, so make sure to get all the macro- and micronutrients you need. Not everything has to be low cal and high volume. Getting in your favourite foods/dessert in moderation will DEFINITELY make your chances for a long term caloric deficit way better. I know it’s easier said than done, but having three small bites/a small portion of a treat helps for me.
    PS: love your meal!

Dumb question but what is the brown vegetable with red sauce by the salad? Is it a potato?

Not a food tip per se, but have you tried upping your daily activity and exercise?

Veggie snack plates! Raw veggies as a side to every meal! Small, simple salads with little dressings as sides!!!

  7. almost any meal can be had over a giant bed of lettuce or riced cauliflower

(bonus if you go the cauli rice route is a ton of extra fiber)

  8. Potatoes, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cauliflower rice. All good ways to increase the volume of your meal.
