My usual order at Hot Pork (Dundas West near Grace) is either the pork belly or bangers and mash sandwich. Today I finally tried their chicken caesar sandwich ($16). Smoked chicken, crispy pork belly and kale caesar (including croutons!) are piled onto a super fresh roll. As with their other meats, the chicken was deliciously smoky and juicy. But, even when playing a secondary role, the pork belly demonstrates why this place is named Hot Pork. So good. Today was definitely soup weather so their luscious sweet potato coconut soup ($5) hit the spot to round out a great lunch.

Hot Pork is criminally underrated – pretty much everything I’ve tried on their menu has been outstanding.

Best brisket sandwich in the city as well. And it’s not even close.
