Aji fantasy Pepper Seedling

I have two aji fantasy (cream) seedlings that I am starting hydroponically in an aerogarden. Both of them so far have these weird white webs / strands on them. Any idea what this could be? I initially thought it was root hairs but now I'm not so sure.

I know the top of the coco coir sponge has some algae on it, but I have 6 other pods with different pepper species that are terminating jusr fine and have already sprouted.
