Is the new cookie dough brownie ice cream sandwich at Animal Kingdom worth a 20-minute wait? Read on to find out!
New Animal Kingdom Treat
The new ice cream sandwich is available at Terra Treats. The kiosk is located across from Creature Comforts on the path into Africa.
When our reporter arrived, the line to snag the new treat was estimated at 20 minutes. The line was eventually cut-off. Even after Terra Treats closed for the day, guests were knocking on the kiosk windows looking for the treat. A Cast Member stated that some guests were even rope-dropping Terra Treats despite its opening time being 10:30 a.m.
Cookie Dough Brownie Ice Cream Sandwich – $8.29
This is a brownie layered with vanilla ice cream and topped with chocolate ships and edible cookie dough and let us tell you, the hype is real.
Our reporter’s life was changed by this desert. . Starting from the top there are mini chocolate chips and chunks of salt and sprinkles on top of a cookie dough layer. The salt, cookie dough, and chocolate pair perfectly together with the salt cutting the sweetness down. The vanilla ice cream is classic while the brownie bottom offers a nice crisp and sturdy base to hold it all together.
We feel that there isn’t a better ice cream option outside of Dole Whip in the parks right now. If you like cookie dough this will melt you (pun intended) because everything plays so well together.
