Looking for some guidance before I go down the warranty path.
I have a Traeger Pro 575 (TFB57GLEC, D2 WiFIRE). It was running fine, then threw an “Auger Disconnected” error mid-startup. No grinding noise, no obvious jam.
I powered it off at the switch, waited a few minutes, then tried to turn it back on.
Now:
• Red power switch lights up
• No screen
• No boot
• No fan spin
• Completely dead controller
I pulled the controller out and there are visible burn marks on the PCB (looks like a failed component near the driver section).
The auger itself isn’t jammed and spins freely by hand. Pellets are dry.
Has anyone seen a D2 controller fail like this after an auger error?
Is this a known MOSFET / motor driver failure?
Did Traeger cover it under warranty?
Trying to determine:
1. Is this a common D2 board failure?
2. Is there anything else I should check before replacing the controller?
3. What was your warranty experience like?
Appreciate any insight.

Hey! It looks like you posted an image!
If this is a photo of one of your cooks, maybe share the recipe and techniques
used, as it’s almost guaranteed one of the first questions you will be asked!
*What seasoning did you use?
*How long did you cook it, and at what temperature?
*Did you use any special tricks or techniques?
Traeger on!
