


For some reason it wont seal in the back and it is limiting the temperature i can achieve, any idea on how to fix this?? Am i missing a piece or something? Ive has this for years and worried i might have lost something in the move. Its a kamado joe classic 2.0

Need to adjust the rings so the ceramics sit flush with them again.
They move over time and with heat.
A few handy youtube vids are about.
Second this should be easy fix
Its because the back of your grill has slipped.
Look closely at your 2nd picture, at the hinge area. The bottom bands are straight/parallel to themselves. The upper band, right at the 3 little bolt heads show a slight angle. That’s your problem.
Compress your air lift hinge with retention tool. Loosen all the little bolts on both sides. Then straighten the band/dome until (1) the band is straight and (2) the dome is seated flat to the band, the tighted your bolts back up. You may find using wood shims to gain a mechanical advantage helpful.
