MADISON (WKOW) — An Italian restaurant that’s been in Madison for nearly 60 years is set to serve it’s last dinner on Feb. 28 after the owners announced that they would be closing for good.
The company made the announcement on Facebook and did not give a reason why they were closing.
In a press release, the owners said:
We will deeply miss all of the customers that we have come to know over the years and hearing how our restaurant has become part of their family traditions. Many customers have celebrated their wedding, anniversaries and engagements since we opened the restaurant in 1968.
The announcement comes after developers held a public meeting in September last year to discuss building a high-rise apartment building in its place.
Their last day of business will be on Feb. 28.
The restaurant has been voted Madison’s most romantic restaurant for 15 years.
