HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Award-winning private chef and Food Network Chopped Champion Cidney Wilcox is now cooking up her signature Southern fusion cuisine for catering and special events.

Known for her elevated, globally inspired comfort food, she says she creates luxury dining experiences and bespoke events for private clients, blending Southern, Caribbean, and island influences, using food to celebrate culture, connection, and community.

“I want people to feel joy. Good food should spark connection, conversation, and memories,” she said.

Wilcox will be serving brunch creations at a Day Party Paradise Brunch pop-up event on March 15 at the Ground Level Lounge, a luxury hookah bar, at 1538 Makaloa St. from noon-4 p.m.

Wilcox joined HNN’s Sunrise to showcase some of her menu, such as her take on shrimp and grits and upscale breakfast sandwiches and frittatas, meant to bring restaurant-quality food into a fun party environment.

As we mark Black History Month, she said it’s important to support black-owned businesses.

“Representation matters. It’s uplifting and motivating to see successful black people doing amazing things,” she said.
