The Paper Masala Dosa (and perhaps other items) at the Temple Canteen in Flushing is an iconic NYC dish.

The dosa is paper thin with the perfect amount of crisp, possibly griddled in ghee. The sambar, aloo masala and the coconut chutney all tasted incredibly fresh. Also, enjoyed the cafeteria vibes. Place deserves to be on the NYT Best 100 list.
