In honor of the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy, the Scottville Library celebrated by savoring some Italian food and learning about Italian Cuisine.
On Feb. 13, attendees munched on Bruscetta, Gelato, and many more Italian dishes as they watched the winter olympics on TV with friends and family.
Event Coordinator, Lisa Van Drunen, shared her thoughts about the event.
“It’s been fun to try new things and for everybody to try new foods that they might not have experienced,” said Van Drunen. “We do an activity, a craft from it, a food from every country, a movie about it, and then sprinkle out some books and other facts about the country too.”
Tables at the event featured the colors of Italy’s flag along with facts about the country and its history.
The same event will be held on Friday, Feb. 20 from 3:30 — 5:30 p.m. at the Ludington Branch.
