Savor the Flavors of Catalan Cuisine
The Strings Hotel Tokyo InterContinental will host a limited-time course dinner titled, “Tastes of the Mediterranean: An Homage to Barcelona,” from February 24 to February 28.
The hotel will welcome special guest Joaquim Soler — the Executive Chef of Bawah Reserve, Indonesia’s top private island resort hotel. Soler will serve a special menu created by Strings InterContinental Executive Chef Zissas Nino.

Both chefs trained under Fermí Puig, a renowned chef in the world of Catalan cuisine. This dinner menu is designed as a homage to Puig’s culinary philosophy and expresses the spirit of Catalan cuisine.
Catalan cuisine is one of Europe’s oldest food cultures, and is characterized by cooking methods that make the most of the bounty of the Mediterranean, such as fresh seafood, seasonal vegetables and olive oil.
This dinner will offer a five-course meal paired with carefully selected wines. Through the harmony of food and drink, you can enjoy Catalan culinary culture on a deeper level.
The menu will consist of:
Cod salad with roasted tomato and hazelnut sauce
Roast meat cannelloni with truffle bechamel sauce
Seafood stew with “patatas bravas” style potatoes
Stewed veal with Pyrenean herbs and smoked paprika, creamy potato puree and mushrooms
Fresh cream gelato with strawberries marinated in Moscatel wine and lemon
Chocolate donut
Featured wines include:
Maria Oliver Porti
