Hey everyone,

I just picked up a used Weber Genesis II (4-burner) that’s set up for natural gas. I already have a natural gas connection at home, but I honestly have no clue what hose/setup I need.

From what I can tell, it looks like it might be either 1/2” or 3/8”, but I’m not sure what actually matters — the hose size, the fittings, or both.

Can you guys help me figure out what I should be looking for before I buy the wrong thing?

Thanks! 🔥

[You need this kit](https://www.weber.com/US/en/parts–et–support/replacement-parts/gas-grill-parts/gas-replacement-parts/hoses–et–regulator-kits/66349.html?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=VOKAL_WEB_NATL_FY25_SEM_GOOG_ENG_CONV_PMX_SHP_NA_Spirit&utm_content={adset.name}&utm_term=&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=22285918521&gbraid=0AAAAAC-Iw00f0SOF5U9aG5Qjs7xDo_g-w&gclid=Cj0KCQiA49XMBhDRARIsAOOKJHYdmapFXnSTnfQS3HJ-xUdyLE0z9dElFSZvkMhMjStyyihNJ6Wz-yEaAnpMEALw_wcB), and it will have everything you need to hook up – assuming your pipe is the correct size. If it is not, then you’ll need an adapter from whatever your supply pipe is to the quick-connect provided in the kit.

It all matters. Gas really isn’t something you should just figure out on a wing and a prayer. Consider having someone knowledgeable help you out with this, even if you have to pay them.
