Alright, I know this sub turns into a minefield whenever fishwife gets mentioned. BUT recently I scored a can of the fly by jing chili crisp smoked salmon for $9.99, truly the lowest I’ve ever seen it priced at. It usually goes for $13.99 at my usual supermarket.
I regret to share that it was quite good. The spice and texture were on point. The downside is that it was incredibly salty, but I took daywithmei’s tips and made onigiri with it. It balanced out a lot of the sodium and made it much more palatable.
Anyway, I still believe most fishwife cans are not worth buying at full price, but if I see this variety on sale again, I wouldn’t *not* pick it up.
