I used get a chicken quesadilla cooked with sweet and spicy sauce (1050 calories) then it would come with** fries **(440 calories) and I would get honey mustard** (I was eating at **least 2 to 300 cals of it probably). Then I had the audacity to swallow it all down with a milkshake. I don’t see the calorie count for that on the website but that’s an easy 600 calories.
Whereas now the quesadilla I make myself is anywhere from 310 to 350 calories depending on how much toppings/meat I use. I normally do vegetables for a side but today I had 62 cal worth of fruit. My beverage of choice is always water.
If I have sauce, I portion control it to keep it under 40 cal. But lately I’ve been skipping the sauce entirely and just having Greek yogurt (34 cals)
I’m even more satisfied because I’m not paying to compromise my health.
Old Order 2,390 calories vs Home-cooked 408 calories
It astonishes me how calorically ignorant I was lol but now that I know better I do better.

1790 calories for the old order no milkshake…. I don’t know why that part got cut out.
600cal milkshake?
nah no way.
And try some of those 0 cal sweeteners from Skittles and Jolly Rancher. A bit of sodium but a good hydration session will help that.
The audacity 😂
It is crazy how many calories you can save by cooking at home though!
I bet it tastes better homemade, too. Good work!
Add cholula to the Greek yogurt for a deliciously flavored creamy sauce.

do you use a regular tortilla? what kind of meat do you like to put? it looks so good!!
even a simple restaurant quesadilla can easily be 200+ extra calories of soaked up butter/oil.
Hi, would you mind providing your recipe?
Yeah I use barely any oil when cooking them at home and I do find I don’t need as much cheese either.
Edit: you can add dressing powders to the Greek yogurt for different flavours. Sometimes I use a taco seasoning packet in mine
