Gemilia Ele G3028A and a DC63 Conical Grinder.
Why This Is My End Game Setup (And Why I Don’t Need a $2K Machine)
I’m running a Gemilai Ele G3028A with a DC63 conical grinder and honestly… I’m done chasing upgrades. People love saying you need a $2,000+ machine to be “serious,” but this thing already checks the same boxes. It’s a true dual boiler with a dedicated brew boiler and a dedicated steam boiler, so brew temp doesn’t fluctuate while steaming, there’s no waiting between shots and milk, and steam is strong and dry with fast recovery. That’s the main reason people jump to prosumer machines in the first place and I already have it.
It also has a heavy brass group head with 550mL of thermal mass, so heat retention and shot-to-shot stability aren’t an issue. The whole “big brass complex group head” argument is covered. On top of that I’ve got adjustable brew temperature, adjustable OPV, programmable pre-infusion that ramps to about 2 bar before full pressure, an automatic shot timer, and manual control when I want it. That’s real extraction control not just shiny stainless panels.
What really makes it practical for my house though is the automatic milk steaming. It has a built-in temp probe in the steam wand, adjustable steam temperature, and auto texturing. I can dial my milk temp exactly where I want it or just let it steam hands-free. A lot of $2K E61 dual boilers don’t even offer that without mods. For us, that matters way more than aesthetics.
The DC63 conical is consistent, gives me great body, and works perfectly for the milk drinks we also enjoy. Once you have stable temperature, pressure control, pre-infusion, and dual boilers, the grinder becomes the bigger lever anyway and I’m not limited in the cup.
And honestly, the biggest factor is real life. My wife loves drinking espresso. She does not love managing espresso. She wants to press a button, steam milk, and drink coffee. This setup lets me nerd out when I feel like it, but it’s simple enough that she can use it without learning café workflows. That matters more than flexing hardware online.
Would a $2K machine look cooler? Sure. Be heavier? Definitely. Impress Reddit? Probably. But would it meaningfully improve what’s in my cup at home? Not in a way that justifies the jump.
End game isn’t about price. It’s about capability, consistency, and fitting your life. Dual boilers, brass thermal mass, pressure control, pre-infusion, automatic milk steaming, and a strong grinder. I’m already there.

I’m glad you like it! I really don’t think “People love saying you need a $2,000+ machine to be ‘serious.’” Strawmanning like that isn’t making your post more compelling. Nevertheless, I hope you and yours enjoy your new setup.
Enjoy! I just upgraded from my Gemilai owl to a Profitec jump.
It served us well for the past year.
This is the second time I’ve seen this machine on here today. Were you able to find any actual reviews of it online before buying? The stuff I’ve found thus far all seem to be marketing material more than genuine reviews.
Hey, out of curiosity is there like a PTFE or some sort of coating under the shower screen? I have the Gemilai g3006 and the coating under started peeling. I really like the gemilai machine, so if they got rid of that coating in this model I might just upgrade to it.
Good machine for what it costs

Does this actually have two boilers? I’m not seeing that in the specs for this when I look online.
Congrats! Got ours earlier this week in the grey. Pairing it with a Starseeker e55 pro for now.

Amazing design
I’m glad you like it, and it seems like a solid machine overall, and especially at that price. But I think the biggest difference between this and a $2k machine is that a $2k machine is more likely to still be functional in 10-15 years compared to something like this that I would expect to be in a landfill somewhere by then.
How was its performance overall?
Hey, good for you man. My philosophy has always been buy the very best that you can within your means. It looks like you’ve done that and done it well.
Very nice looking setup! 👍
There’s gaggiuino for this now too which brings a ton more features to geek out on
