The "Babushka Power Cookbook" is one of those charity-benefit cookbooks that they used to sell back in the day for various causes. Members of the community would donate their homestyle recipes, a sponsor would donate money to print it up, and they would sell them with profits going to charity. This one from 1976 was sold to benefit local children's hospitals in the Pittsburgh, PA area (in USA).

I just photographed a couple pages. I still make these pierogies and halushki.

    I love the idea of using pasta shells for no dough pirogies, the texture won’t be the same but it’s creative
