Recently visited Ore in Bangkok and really enjoyed this visit. Some pics attached out of the 34 small bites served that night.

As reference point in BKK I’ve been to Sorn, Suhring, Gaggan, INDDEE and Nawa with 40+ total Michelins visit globally.

I personally rate Ore at 8/10 and believe they should be rated at least one Michelin star. Highest in BKK to me are still Sorn and Suhring at personal 9/10.

For me Ore serves two of what I love in fine dining 1) Small bites 2) Low waiting time in between dishes. They also truly excel at pushing the innovation boundary by focusing on taste harmony of what might at times seem to be combination of random ingredients.

I think they operate at upper 1 star level but personally i will not rate them at 2 stars yet due to following 1) I have no pork restriction and found the weakest plates tend to be the substitutes 2) the desserts for me are good but not outstanding. But then again i just came out of Suhring where I love their desserts so it’s a high bar.

They are moving to a new location post March so unsure if current concept will be retained. If anyone is in Bangkok before closure, would highly recommend trying Ore v1.0

I recognise half of those dishes from when I was there last year.

I really enjoyed it my time. I’d take a special trip back to Bangkok for Ōre 2.0.

    What’s the first dish?

Agreed it is Michelin deserving. Had an incredible meal there late last year.

So sad this is gonna be closed when I’m in Bangkok in April!

  4. Interesting combinations, but they need to work on presentation if they want another star. Some of those dishes are a touch sloppy looking.

I have been trying to write a review, for all dishes but seems impossible, cause they are so many and it takes for ever. I will easily rate it 2* though

Do you know whereabouts they’re moving to? I knew they were moving from one iteration to another, but didn’t realise they were actually changing location.
