The Freeze reopens in Marion despite cold temperatures

MARION, Iowa (KCRG) – Cold temperatures did not stop a Marion ice cream shop from reopening Friday.

The Freeze, located near downtown Marion, welcomed dozens of customers for its seasonal reopening.

Owner John Humphries said the weather did not deter him from opening the shop.

“Our customers really support us, they’ll come out really no matter what, so that’s a great position to be in, getting that support from our customers,” Humphries said.

Humphries said the shop also opened around the same time last year and that it worked out well.
