Myself and some guys have a charity group in my city and we were tasked with feeding 40+ kids at the Ronald McDonald House today. Pulled pork and chicken, BBQ baked beans, mac and cheese, fried okra, hushpuppies, and slaw. Of course the option of NC style and TX BBQ sauces

The Ronald McDonald house is an amazing cause, and helped my family through my nephew’s treatment all the while providing us a place to stay far away from home for effectively no cost.

Say what you want about McDonalds the restaurant but the Ronald McDonald house is a really great charity. They made a HUGE impact on a friend of mines life. Her son had multiple serious health issues and she was able to stay there completely free while he was in the hospital. She donates to them all the time now and I do too. She told me that it’s one of the best charities to donate to because you get the most bang for your buck as far as goodness done per dollar. Every penny donated goes towards the families that use their services. Good on you OP! That’s a really cool thing you did. 👏🏻👍🏼

Pork is sort of problematic at our house.
They took care of my best friend and her newborn for a week. After that (when I ate mcd), I always rounded up for the House.

Ronald McDonald House is an amazing charity. They were there when my family when we really, really needed them. I give to them every chance I get now.

Coming from the parent of a pediatric cancer patient, this makes a huge impact. What you are doing and providing absolutely makes a difference for people who may be dealing with some really awful things. I was so grateful for the people who fed us at the Ronald McDonald house when my daughter had her leg amputated.
