    I’ve never heard of canned strawberries. I’m assuming she put them up herself and they weren’t commercially sold?

    I only turned up my nose at one dish on today’s menu. It’s a good day!

    I like the note that you needed to have made the chili sauce 3 months ago. Nothing like going through a recipe step-by-step and finding out that the steps aren’t in chronological order.

    The Belle Calas sound good! They are going in the ‘to try’ pile for sure. It’s interesting seeing a creole recipe contributed by a Mrs. Wilbur in Michigan. Small world 🙂
