I went to Fukuoka just to try the 3 different styles of ramen. It was more than worth it.
1 Kurume style, aka the best bowl of tonkotsu on this planet. Worth the 40 minute train from Fukuoka to Kurume.
2 Nagahama style, extremely fast food, light and delicious.
3 Hakata style, rich broth, great noodles. Can't beat Kurume.

Seems delicious !
Try also yaki ramen, insanely good!
Yeah Kurume style is pretty intense! This was at Rai Fuku Ren, just outside Kurume Station. I wish I had more time or stayed a day or two at Kurume, but it was just a day trip and I feel that Kurume has a lot to offer. I had a pleasant walk towards Sasayama Shrine during my visit.

Where is the Kurume bowl from? I’m plotting a Kyushu trip and was planning on Taiho for my Kurume spot.
Totally agree Kurume style is top tier.
BTW, Nagahama style is actually known as the local breakfast ramen in Fukuoka, which is exactly why the broth is on the lighter side.
