Hi Wine Peeps,
I have an unopened bottle of 1992 Tenuta San Guido Sassicaia that belonged to my grandpa (rip). It’s been stored on its side in a dark, temp-controlled room. A bit of Googling suggests it’s a pretty special bottle.
I'm not much of a wine drinker, so I’d love to get this into the hands of someone who would appreciate it. How does one go about selling or placing a bottle like this? Assuming I can't just put wine on ebay, lol.
Appreciate any guidance, cheers! 🍷

Get together with some family or friends, cook a couple steaks, and enjoy it. Share a memory or two of him while you’re at it.
No need to be super sophisticated about it!

If you’re in the US, you’ll have a hard time moving it by itself as a private person. Unless you’re in South Florida and willing to bring it over to my place while I grill, LOL
Send it to me
Bottoms up mate
Enjoy it
Drink it.
I would just drink it homie. We all start somewhere when it comes to appreciating wine. You might enjoy this a lot. It might kick off your journey to exploring wine. You might not like it, but at least you tried. Selling it to a stranger for pennies on its sentimental value would be a shame. It’s just a bottle of beverage.
Where are you located? It’s going to be hard to sell a single bottle of wine that old cause most winos are going to want to know how it was stored
If it’s been stored as well as you say and holds sentimental calue, then absolutely drink it, you will enjoy it regardless. With that said, 1992 was not a strong vintage in Tuscany and these wines were not meant to be aged very long. So I would not *expect* you to be blown out of the water, that’s all.
Drink it?
down the hatch!
