Chicago’s vibrant Greektown kicks off its annual Greektown Restaurant Week on Sunday, March 1, through Saturday, March 7. The event spotlights family-owned Greek restaurants along South Halsted Street. According to the press release, diners can snag special food and drink deals at popular spots.
Greektown serves as the heart of the city’s Greek dining scene. It boasts the largest cluster of authentic eateries, many run by families for 25 to 50 years or more, the press release states. Newcomer Ithaki Estiatorio joins longtime favorites.

Prime-time Greek deals unveiled
Other participating venues include 9 Muses Bar & Grill, Athena Restaurant, Dugan’s on Halsted, Greek Islands Restaurant, Meli Cafe, Taco Burrito King, Mr. Greek Gyros, Spectrum Bar & Grill, Rye Deli + Drink, and Zeus Restaurant. Customers must mention “Greektown Restaurant Week” when ordering to claim offers.
Deals focus on dine-in or carryout from the restaurants themselves. Third-party delivery apps do not qualify, the press release notes. Many specials apply only to dine-in guests.
At 9 Muses Bar & Grill (315 S. Halsted St.), a four-course tasting menu costs $60 per person for lunch and dinner, with options like lamb chops or Greek steak frites. According to the website, customers can add wine pairings for $75. Athena Restaurant (212 S. Halsted St.) gives a free saganaki order, one per table, for dine-in only.

Greek Islands Restaurant (200 S. Halsted St.) will offer free taramosalata with pita, one per table. Ithaki Estiatorio (314 S. Halsted St.) provides complimentary Halloumi skewers and 30% off Greek wines for dinner. Spectrum Bar & Grill (233 S. Halsted St.) features $2 Greek wine glasses with dinner entrées, plus lamb chop specials at $28.95 for four chops.

Mr. Greek Gyros (234 S. Halsted St.) throws in free baklava cheesecake with each gyros plate. Meli Cafe (301 S. Halsted St.) adds loukoumades with entrée purchases. Zeus Restaurant (806 W. Jackson Blvd.) includes a free 16-ounce drink with dinner plates.

Dugan’s on Halsted (128 S. Halsted St.) halves Guinness beer prices on Sunday, March 1. Rye Deli + Drink (25 S. Halsted St.) discounts hummus, salads, salmon entrée, and bruschetta by 25%. Taco Burrito King (811 W. Jackson Blvd.) prices tostada and torta dinners at $9.99 each.
