I was touring a wineshop in Japan when I saw this sucker for only €30,- I couldn’t really care less about the fact that most likely we wouldn’t have wine glasses at the place we were staying at. And so, bottle in the bag, off we go.

Pop ‘n pour. Regular water glasses. Who cares. Opens up with lemon, but mostly fresh lime juice. Unripe white grapefruit. If that’s a thing, I don’t know. But you gotta deal with it.

Typical PYCM reduction. Great concentration on the palate, with a salty mineral touch. Well managed freshness and acidity with a moderate finish.

Much, much better and complete than 2020 which I think is just style, no substance.

Haha. Anything for a glass of wine! Anything’s better than drinking it out of plastic…

Aligote is underrated. This wine is delicious.

Great wines with proper age but I find them borderline undrinkable when young. The matchstick reductive qualities are so overpowering in their youth imo.

Love this. I think Lalou makes an Aligote too. Wonderful.
