Iβm pretty sure all Grandma and Moms cooking is actually 0 calories because the special ingredient, love, cancels it all out.

I stayed at my parents for 3 days (Sunday – noonish today) for a blizzard and just didn’t bother counting. Bad practice I know, but there are just too many temptations there and its tough for me to figure out the calories in meals cooked by others so I just gave myself the time off. On the flip side, we got three feet of snow on top of the foot that hadn’t melted yet, so I did a ton of shoveling lol

Good on you for logging all of it! It hurts to see it creep past the 1370, but itβs a good reality check to do better next time. Knowledge is power. Keep up the great work! π

I would save up a lot of calories to see my Nana again. Sometimes you have to feed your soul.
An occasional maintenance day is also good for you in my opinion. Not sure of your stats but you’re probably not too much over. If you like weightlifting at all, a good session tomorrow would take advantage of the extra calories, but, either way, some things are just worth it.

Assuming that goal weight is your break even point, then this will only cost you 21% of a single pound. You may see a little more than that depending on your sodium intake. But that will just be water and be gone in 48 hours. No lasting harm had been done here at all.
If anything, periodic refeeding will keep your TDEE up and help you in the long term. I wouldn’t sweat this for a minute.

For whatever it’s worth, you only get so many meals with your grandma (assuming her food is good). Enjoy them while you can – I wish I still could β₯
