First time it's been used since before he passed in 2013. I've never cooked using charcoal, and I'm really just getting into cooking in general. This thing is heavy duty. I remember him cooking the best steaks in this thing. One of my many regrets I have is not learning from or paying attention to him cooking.

    First lesson and most important thing about grilling is getting your fire set up correctly. Your coals should not be the way they are. For that much coal, you need to set up 2 pyramid stacks then let the coals burn until they are mostly ash and then spread them. Also that looks like way too many coals, you’ll burn your food

    Let those grates soak in white vinegar for a day or two and you can scrape all that rust off
