I’ll admit it, I used to refuse to eat any vegetables. Whether it was green beans, carrots, or peas (my least favorite), I’d do anything to avoid them. Luckily, I’ve been introduced to various ways of making veggies taste undeniably delicious. I’m talking Brussels sprouts roasted with chili lime sauce and sweet potatoes baked with olive oil, brown sugar, and salt.

But half the problem with getting plenty of vegetables in my diet is not having enough time to prepare them to my liking. Sure, canned goods make cooking easier, but they aren’t always the tastiest. However, that may not be the case anymore with Row 7 Seed Company’s new tinned vegetables.

Row 7 Seed Company just introduced a new, simple way to eat vegetables with its launch of tinned vegetables. The fresh vegetables with delicious flavor are harvested at their peak and preserved in a way that enhances their flavor.

These aren’t mushy canned vegetables from your grandmother’s pantry (no shade, grandma). The new tins were developed by chefs who rethought the whole process, using techniques like confit-style cooking and gentler heat to better protect texture and flavor. Not only that, but Row 7 Seed packs each can with high-quality ingredients like extra virgin olive oil and house-made vinaigrettes crafted by founder Chef Dan Barber. The liquid isn’t just there to preserve the vegetables; it doubles as a ready-made sauce you can spoon straight over whatever you’re cooking.

The chef-created, shelf-stable products will be available in three varieties, ready to be used in your favorite dishes or eaten straight from the tin:

Badger Flame Beets: Made with extra virgin olive oil and white balsamic vinegar. This mild and sweet take on beets is vibrant in color and ready to eat with no peeling or roasting required.

Sweet Prince Tomatoes: These slow-roasted cherry tomatoes are cooked with extra virgin olive oil and red wine vinegar. They have a sweet, fresh, and bright flavor that’ll keep you coming back for more.

“Flavor doesn’t start in the kitchen—it starts with the seed,” Chef Barber said in a release shared with Allrecipes. “Most canned vegetables come from varieties bred for yield and logistics. Ours come from varieties bred for exceptional flavor, which means they shine fresh and translate beautifully in the tin. When you start with a seed bred for flavor, tinning isn’t a compromise—it’s a way to enhance what’s already there.”

The company gave shoppers an inside peek at what the process of tinning its vegetables looks like on Instagram, and it’s safe to say fans are excited to try the new products.

“Oooo, I’m gonna need some of these,” one person wrote. Another commented, “Love this idea.” Someone else chimed in, “It’s about time!” And we couldn’t agree more.

Row 7 Seed’s new tinned vegetables are now available in the produce aisle (not the typical canned goods aisle) at Whole Foods Markets across the Northeast for $7.99. They can also be ordered from row7seeds.com. If you’re looking for a way to incorporate more vegetables into your meals like me, these might just be the solution you’re looking for.
