Veeno Chester, which is located in Northgate Street, was one of five UK location for the family-owned brand.
The business offered authentic Italian wine and food, with a range of tasting experiences, meat and cheese platters, classic Italian cuisine and wine from their centuries-old vineyard in Sicily.
To the disappointment of many in the city, the business is now listed as permanently closed, and the location no longer appears as one the options on the brand’s website.

A short period of closure in recent weeks was accompanied by a note in the window of the Northgate Street building informing customers of a water leak, however it seems the wine bar will not be reopening.
Several people have expressed disappointment on social media, with many sad to see the restaurant close.
It remaining UK locations include Bristol, Edinburgh, Leeds, Leicester and Durham.
