Eat at the new Italian spot for less
Opened by husband-and-wife team Simone and Lidia Crepaldi on the old Chick ‘n’ Sours site in Dalston, HOAX is doing a creative take on classic Italian flavours. The menu includes dishes like:
citrus marinated sea bass with tomatoes and valerian gelbeef tartare with robiola, mustard and hazelnut cacio e pepepasta pomodorobraised beef cheek with potato purée and sweet peppersroast chicken with brioche bread and black truffle sauce house tiramisu
There’s a late-night speakeasy-style cocktail bar The Devil You Know in the basement, where Simone (who oversees the cocktail list at Callooh Callay) is curating the drinks – expect serves like plum negronis, truffle martinis and the tiramisu dessert in cocktail form.
