Managed to get all of this equipment for $350 a couple nights ago; this is my first at home setup and I’m absolutely loving it. Currently dialing in a dark roast from Verve! Is there anything you would recommend I still get?
Edit: Not pictured is my actual coffee bar with Kingrinder and Chemex. People seem to be under the impression that I bought all of these items individually – it was a single purchase from someone on Marketplace. I thought it was an impressive deal, as for the price of basically just the machine I was able to get all of the equipment I needed and then some. The extras can be sold to make it an even better deal and recoup the price.

Looks like someone thought the problem was their portafilter, basket, and absolutely nothing else.
Just add eight Grinder’s and you’ll be good to go.
Probably a dumb question but how much difference is caused by different bottomless portafilters?
If it fits and it’s big enough for the basket you want to use, why would you need a different one other than wanting different looks?
Word of advice:
Focus on one basket and get it dialed in.

Personally, I don’t think you have enough portafilters or baskets.
Find one of the baskets that says VST or IMS and somewhere between 16 and 20g. Use that, don’t worry about the rest. Single shots are for weirdos and puck screens for the weak of heart.

On regular days, we’d usually get by with six portafilters. But when we’re entertaining we often pull considerably more shots. Thanks to eBay, we currently own a total of 23 portafilters, which seems like an OK number for our needs. I hate having to run the express cycle just to get through the day.
Recently I read some people would reuse a portafilter without running it through the dishwasher. Seriously, how gross can you be.
