The Elmwood in Etobicoke
I went to this place on the weekend, largely because I saw a post about it just having opened that week on Instagram. I’d consider myself somewhat of a wing aficionado/lover, and frequently find myself going out for the sole purpose of eating wings and having some beers. I could tell from the description they seemed like some wings worth trying and boy did they not disappoint.
Made a night out of it and went to see a movie at the Queensway VIP cineplex after, since it’s a bit out of the way for me.
Perfect wing. Nice and big without being overly meaty. Crispy crunch on the exterior. Come out blazing hot from the fryer. The buffalo sauce was next level, and they were drenched in sauce. The hot buffalo actually had a perfect kick (sometimes Buffalo is too mild). Big portions (I think they were 1.5 pounds even). Good tavern style fries as a side too.
Cozy pub ambience inside. Owner was a super friendly couple. If it was in my neighbourhood it would definitely become my new go to spot.
